Motivation & Goals
With the support of FedEx and AFRL, we have established "CLION - Center of Large-scale Intelligent Optimization & Networks" at the FedEx Institute of Technology, The University of Memphis.
CLION's focus
is on mathematical theory of large-scale graphs and networks, their applications in decision making, optimization and cellular neural networks, cognition and brain networks.
CLION aims at becoming a regional and national center of excellence in large-scale networks and advanced intelligent optimization, capable of attracting and supporting large size multi-institution and multi-university research projects, and facilitating the commercialization of the products.
The goal of this Symposium is to create a forum for interdisciplinary researchers to discuss research and development issues in the area of large-scale random networks and their applications in various defense and civilian applications. The Program of the Symposium includes:
- Featured talks by invited speakers from academia, government agencies, and industry to address recent developments and challenges in this field.
- Extensive discussions on the opportunities of collaborations and exploring the possibilities of attracting funding through various agencies.
